The proposal engages with the remnants of a former household located in the hilly foothills of the Lower Carpathians. Existing stone walls are preserved and reinterpreted through the insertion of a new structural framework—a dual row of columns that enables flexible use of the former barn space. The dwelling extends toward the garden through a lightweight addition that accommodates living and sleeping areas, establishing a dialogue between permanence and adaptability. Central to the approach was the preservation of the site’s vegetation and its atmospheric qualities, ensuring continuity between past and present spatial narratives.
