Entrance signals, a typology mostly built during the communist era, can be quite challenging to reimagine in contemporary times.  We proposed a building instead of a signal because a building implies an interior space. The oculus room can serve multiple functions for passers by from motorway chapel to exhibition space.

The tower built out of battered concrete is formed using timber camp leftovers in order to anchor it into local traditions and convey a timeless image.
